United On Fire

United are in the FA Cup final with a great win over Watford. Pretty much as expected as Rooney and Ronaldo were simply too good for the Watford defence. Smith was strong again up front and a real asset leading the front line in the absence of Saha.

However, on the downside, we are rapidly running out of defenders, with Rio coming off during the game and Fletcher (also playing well) filling in at right back. Only Evra remains from the first choice defence and he has come back from injury himself.

It seems that Rio could be back in a week, and Neville returning soon. Brown is doing well as a Vidic stand in and now Heinze will have to do the same job. To add to the problems, Van Der Saar seems to got the wobbles as well. Luckily it is the sort of team that wins games by getting one more than the opposition (of even 6 more) unlike Chelsea who really struggled whilst Cech and Terry were injured.

So a final with Chelsea awaits (maybe the first of two). Sky must be wetting themselves.
