Chelsea miss chance against Newcastle
It could have been a one point gap, but the Chelsea players showed they were human too, getting a goalless draw away to Newcastle. I couldn’t bear to watch the game. I hate watching them play anyway.
It is still 3 (+1) points and only 4 games to go. It is too tight to predict confidently when, where and even who will win the league as both teams are playing like the boxers at the end of Rocky. Out on their feet but still punching.
Quite often United win the title when they are not even playing as their rivals lose but etch Wednesday 09th May into your diaries when their rivals could lose and United play and win the title. If no more points are lost before that game, a win or draw will give the title to United. Even a Chelsea win will mean that United will have to beat West Ham (most probably relegated) at Old Trafford. I’d rather it didn’t get to that. Okay, it was at Upton Park but there are not good omens to playing West Ham on the last game of the season.
