Getting closer to the title

Manchester City 0 Manchester United 1 (Ronaldo)

1 point. That’s all that’s needed now. Let’s hope this doesn’t happen, but if Chelsea beat both Arsenal and ourselves, all we would need is a draw at home against West Ham and we would take the title on this well-known “extra-point-from-goal-difference”. I hope Arsenal stuff Chelsea tomorrow, but if would be so justified to win the league on goal difference proving that playing good football is better than the boring stuff Chelsea churn out.

I’d rather not dwell on the game itself as it was dull and horrible. Ball is facing a lengthy ban for his disgusting stamp on Ronaldo, but Ronaldo answered him in the right way, by luring him into a tackle inside the box and won a penalty. Even better was the fact that Ronaldo stepped up and slammed the ball home as well.

City didn’t play football at all in this game. They sat back and it looked like United were playing a friendly. In the 2nd half, City were more competitive but the game didn’t get any better. City then won a penalty, Bell winning it against Brown. However, if you believed in karma, you’d have known that Vassell didn’t score it. He hit it straight and Van Der Sar saved it with his legs.

Nothing more to say. Whilst Fergie will be playing golf again, I’ll be hoping for a home win at the Emirates tomorrow.

It would be too tense to be enjoyable but winning finally at home in front of the fans is probably a very good feeling. Like winning the FA Cup….
