Football Shorts: The Falklands Edition
No mention of Argentinians until either the Tevez or Heinze Conflicts are resolved.
Here’s what’s been happening in the world of Manchester United recently
- The Asian tour wrapped up with an easy win over FC Guangzhou. See the goals at The Offside Have to agree that Nani’s goal was sublime (not a cross!) and Martin’s wasn’t bad either. I’m glad the tour is over. Whatever happened to the pre-season friendlies we used to get when we’d play Altrincham or the like? At least the opposition is still roughly the same standard.
- Christopher Eagles is impressing pre-season and Republik of Mancunia wonders if another kid will make the big time.
- Paul Scholes is our main injury concern for the start of the season (but Owen Hargreaves is also a doubt)
- United want to win the European Cup this season as the ultimate tribute to those that died at Munich.
- City want to suck up to their big brother by taking Silvestre off our hands. Please let it be true.
