The Reserves started their campaign with a 1-0 win over Everton, the goal coming from substitute Febian Brandy.

How will you manage the players who are returning from loans?
What’s happened is that they’ve moved up to work with the First Team group, so their next experience will be working at that level every day in training. People like Gerard Pique, Danny Simpson and Jonny Evans will be working at a higher level every day.
I’d certainly like to see Pique start a few games if Ferdinand or Vidic are rested or injured. However, we’ve seen it before and what will likely happen is that Brown will come inside, or Fergie will pick Silvestre.
