Preview: Everton v Man Utd
Everton v Man Utd (Goodison Park, Saturday, 15 September 1200 BST)
Saha’s fit and has scored, Ronaldo is back from suspension and apparently even Rooney is reported to be fit. Suddenly, United have “options” up front, and as an added bonus Fletcher and O’Shea are injured. Only joking there, but you get the impression it is time for the reserves to step down and for the big boys to take over. However, I’m sure Fergie will have Wednesday’s Champions League game against Sporting Lisbon in mind and I don’t think Rooney will start.
It looks like Tim Howard is set to miss the game against his former club again, this time because of injury. Phil Neville should play fresh from his 20 seconds against Russia for England, but he won’t be leading Everton out in tandem with his brother as Gary is still a couple of weeks from being ready.
If United win, we go top; for 45 minutes at least. Who said our season was over before it had begun?

Who said it? I for one…and with the new news that Rooney and Ronny may both be back I may have to eat some serious crow…and I don’t mind it. Since I live in the states, the game is on at 4am for me. I have class in the morning at 10am US time so I can’t stay awake and listen to it online…but I will wear my Rooney jersey whether we win or lose. Here’s hoping for good results even though one of my favorite players, John O’Shea, is hurt.

Well, it was another case of “a win is a win”. No Rooney (on the bench all game) and didn’t sound like you missed much not getting up early for it. We never seem to do well in the early game so we have done well to win in the end. Vidic coming good on his promise to score some goals
