Preview: Arsenal v Manchester United
Arsenal v Man Utd (Emirates Stadium Saturday, 3 November 1245 GMT)
It’s the biggest game ever! (disclaimer: since the last biggest game ever as brought to you by Sky Sports)
Whilst that sort of hype is always annoying, this is a top of the table clash between two teams currently at the top of their game, both playing excellent football. It has therefore, of course, got pundits saying it is going to be a boring 0-0 in a sort of reverse hype sweep. I don’t think so. I think this is going to be a very interesting game and will produce some great football.
Arsenal are playing great football as always, but this season they are getting results against the teams they lost to which they shouldn’t, like Bolton and Liverpool. Let’s hope they continue this trend and they lose to the teams they beat last season. Like United.
But United have shown that they can play great football as well. Even the Arsenal fans have taken notice. Over at Arseblog (it always helps to get info from the enemy) they say :-
Now though we’ve got a young Arsenal team playing fantastic football and, something that’s overlooked, a fairly young United side who are also playing fantastic football.
This is true. Mixed in amongst the new young players (Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Nani, Anderson) there are still a scattering of the old heads. Not many left. With Scholes out for months, and Neville only playing a very rusty 50 minutes for the reserves, it leaves Van Der Sar and Ryan Giggs as the real zimmerframe men.
I think United’s mix of youth and experience will tell over the youth of Arsenal (but I shouldn’t forget the likes of Gallas). I’m not sure we’ll win, but a draw would be a good result at a ground we’ve only ever lost at once. Of course, if we’d beat Boro 4-3 like I’d predicted, we’d have been on for the 4-4 result from my predicted sequence. Now, that would be some game to watch. Damn those crappy Boro forwards.

It’s hard to imagine if we shall lose this game, although a draw would be a fair result seeing both sides are in good form. Of course this is just another premiership game but a sweet win will cure our heartache defeat to gunners last year. Anyhow thanks for blogging, i’m subscribed.
Come on United!
