United always score. They left it late. Again. But Carlos Tevez eventually got past the excellent Brad Friedel and United got the point that keeps the destiny of the title in their own hands, even if they lose to Chelsea next week.
You did wonder if it wasn’t going to be our day, though. Three penalty shouts, getting more and more stone wall as the game went on. Some fantastic saves by Schm …. Friedel. Some glaring misses, most notalby from Tevez in the first half, when a great pass from Carrick found Rooney who crossed to Tevez. The Argentinian bombed into the box and met the cross with perfect timing, however failed to change the direction of the ball towards the goal after touching it.
Fergie “rested” Van Der Sar (Does a goalkeeper need a rest? Was he injured?) but Vidic came back in. This nearly backfired badly when Kuszczak came off his line yet again, took down Jason Roberts and Blackburn probably should have been given a penalty. Worse was to follow in a generally poor first half for United when Santa Cruz was allowed time in the box to slide a shot into the top corner of the net.
In the second half, Nani replaced Giggs and United started to create more and more chances, all stopped by Blackburn in one way or another, whether by the hands of Friedel or the arm of Emerton. All but the last chance of the game, that is when Tevez headed home a cross from close range to give United a point.

Blackburn went into the game from losing to Liverpool but yet still managed to play outstanding for the full 90 minutes. United were really lucky to get the equaliser 5 minutes from time but then Blackburn still could have won it before the final whistle. on the day Blackburn played fantasic and United were shocking including ronaldo!

blackburn were oustanding on the day, even though they had just lost 3-1 to liverpool.Santa cruz was on fire and Ronaldo just didnt turn up!
